This alarm system detects the level of hydrocarbons in the separator compartment before clogging.

The alarm is suitable for sites with no power supply nearby.

This alarm system detects the oil level in the separator compartment prior to filling. The photovoltaic alarm is suitable for remote locations where there is no power supply available. In addition, the photovoltaic cell produces the electricity needed for the installation by transforming part of the solar radiation.
The control unit can control up to 6 probes installed on 2 different separators (3 probes per vessel). It checks the status of connected probes every 30 minutes (adjustable frequency). The current status is displayed on the 2x16 LCD display on the front of the unit. The detection of hydrocarbons is done by conductivity, water behaves as a conductor while hydrocarbons behave as insulators. The probe consists of 2 stainless steel parts, when one of the two parts is immersed in hydrocarbons, a signal is sent to the control box that triggers the alarm.
The control unit detects the sensor's alarm condition and is available in two versions (standard beacon): 
One signals alarms with a visual and audible signal.
The second transmits the sensor status via GSM (SMS on mobile phone).
A central alarm signal, modem, or any external alarm device can also be connected to the relay.

An installation and operating manual is included with the alarm. The maximum length of the probe cable is 200 m. All connections must be made by a professional, an assistance can be offered as an option. It is essential that the solar panel is facing south, that its line of sight towards the sun is clear and that it is free of foreign matter (for instance : leaves).
The sensors can be exposed to harsh environments.
It is recommended to inspect and clean them regularly.
The maintenance of the pieces of the control unit may not be performed by the user. For any repair, please contact us.
The oil level alarm is a compulsory equipment of an oil separator in accordance with Standard EN 858, which requires it to be installed for the use of a oil separator.
