GRP Particulate decanters with stripper and siphoid partition

A particulate decanter is intended to separate and store fines and hydrocarbons contained in runoff. The scrubber part of the device makes it possible to trap suspended matter (sands, gravel ...). The sedimentation compartment makes it possible to store the settled fines through the canaliculi.

This type of particulate decanter is intended to treat effluents containing coarse particles (pebbles, floats), fine particles and low concentrations of hydrocarbons.

The operation of the particulate clarifier is based on the difference-in-density separation of the insoluble pollutants contained in the runoff. The dewatering compartment allows the settling and trapping of suspended solids (> 200μm). The canaliculi thanks to its large projected surface allow to reach a speed of 2m / h while maintaining a laminar regime (Re <2000). These low speeds make it possible to trap the fines and the hydrocarbons contained in the runoff water.

Particle settlers must be drained regularly to ensure proper operation. The primary and secondary scrubbers must be drained and cured as soon as the sludge volume reaches two thirds of their maximum capacity or at least once a year. During these emptying operations, the slats must be washed with a high-pressure jet. If the clogging of the slats is too important, they must be removed for cleaning.
Particle settlers must be drained completely at least once a year (depending on the site).

Attention: after each emptying, the appliance must be put back in water. It will also be necessary to ensure that the automatic shutter floats freely.
For ease of maintenance, we strongly recommend the installation of hydrocarbon alarms and sludge level.
