GRP Particulate decanter with screen and siphoid

A particulate decanter is intended to separate and store the fines and hydrocarbons contained in runoff water. The sedimentation compartment is used to store the settling fines thanks to the channels.

This type of particulate decanter is intended to treat effluents containing fine particles and low hydrocarbon concentrations while trapping the few coarse particles present in the effluent, so as not to interfere with treatment.
They are therefore particularly suitable for roads in residential or rural areas, airports (outside the fuel distribution zone)...
The operation of the particulate decanter is based on the separation by density difference of the non-soluble pollutants contained in the runoff water.
The large projected surface area of the canalicles allows a speed of 2 m/h to be achieved while maintaining a laminar regime (Re < 2000). These low velocities trap fines and hydrocarbons contained in runoff water.
Refer to the CHPRV-NC installation instructions before handling and installing the decanter.
Particulate decanters must be emptied regularly to ensure their proper functioning. The primary and secondary sludge separators must be emptied and cleaned as soon as the sludge volume reaches two thirds of their maximum capacity or at least once a year. During these draining operations, the slats must be washed with a high-pressure jet. If the slats are too dirty, they must be removed to clean them.
Particulate decanters must be completely emptied at least once a year (depending on the sites).

Caution: after each change, the unit must be returned to water. It must also be ensured that the automatic shutter floats freely.
For ease of maintenance, we strongly recommend the installation of oil and sludge level alarms.

Refer to installation instructions E116.
